Our story

How we got here

We met in Doha and built a life together there — a city we love and aren't planning to leave any time soon. After quietly making things official, we realised the celebration we truly wanted was a few unhurried days with the people who matter most, somewhere beautiful.

So in September 2027 we're bringing everyone to Georgia's wine country to celebrate properly. Thank you for being part of it.

The weekend

The celebration

Thu16 Sep

Arrivals

Fly into Tbilisi and make your way out to Lopota Lake. Nothing formal planned, just settle in.

Fri17 Sep

Welcome dinner

A free day to explore the valley or the vineyards, then dinner together in the evening.

Sat18 Sep

The wedding

A ceremony on the lake pier in the golden hour before sunset, then drinks, dinner and dancing late into the night at Château Buera.

Sun19 Sep

Farewell lunch

Lunch by the lake before goodbyes, for anyone still around.

Getting there & staying

Travel

Where

We're marrying at Lopota Lake in Kakheti, Georgia's wine region — about a two-hour drive from Tbilisi, where everyone flies in. A private taxi from the airport runs roughly $60–100 per car and takes you straight there.

We'll run a shuttle back to Tbilisi the day after, for anyone who'd like it.

Flights & visas

Tbilisi International (TBS) is the airport. Most guests, UK passport holders included, enter Georgia visa-free.

If you're travelling on an Iranian passport, please check entry requirements early via Georgia's official e-Visa portal — we're happy to help.

The venue

Château Buera, Lopota Lake — Napareuli, Kakheti.

Where to stay

Accommodation

The easiest option is to stay right at Lopota Lake, where the wedding is. We've held a block of rooms — you can book yours directly, and we'll share the link and rates here soon. Prefer something else? There are guesthouses and smaller hotels nearby, and you're very welcome to stay off-site and join us for the days.

What to wear

Garden formal

Soft, warm tones — think beiges and light browns, with touches of blush pink and sage green. We kindly ask no floral-print dresses. The ceremony is on grass and decking by the lake, so flat or block heels will serve you far better than stilettos.

Questions

Gifts
Your being there is truly the gift. If you'd like to give something, a contribution toward our celebration is most welcome — and far easier than carrying anything across borders.
Children
Little ones are warmly welcome. There'll be an earlier children's meal and a supervised kids' corner during the evening so parents can relax.
When should I reply?
Please RSVP by 15 July 2027 so we can finalise numbers with the venue.
Plus-ones
Your personal invitation names everyone included — your RSVP below shows your party.
